Case Study: Fit for Legacy Programme aids MAP Surveyors’ brand awareness and accessibility to buyers.
MAP Chartered Surveyors dates back to 1983. Their reputation for excellent quality and bespoke customer service has led them to extend their services across London, Kent, Essex and Surrey and they have won several awards such as Bexley’s Business of the Year 2014, Best Business for Customer Services 2014, “Commended” status at the South London Awards and they have recently secured a finalist position at the 2014 London Awards.
MAP Surveyors’ core business has always been, and remains, residential surveys and valuations, however they felt that the natural progression in order to grow the business further was to apply for larger contracts including those arising in the public sector. By joining the Fit for Legacy Programme they benefitted from attending Fit for Legacy workshops, networking and dedicated 1-2-1 support to increase business-efficiency and suitability to become a supplier for public sector contracts.
As a SME, MAP were unfamiliar with the application process for large public sector contracts. The Fit for Legacy team supported them with this and provided them with the tools and knowledge necessary to look at their business objectively, assisted them in the application process and arranged meetings for MAP at a Meet-The Buyer event. This provided MAP with a platform to showcase their services and pitch to major Crossrail Contractors.
As a result of our relationship with Fit for Legacy we are now far more confident in applying for larger contracts and public contracts and would like to thank the Fit for Legacy team and ELBP for their valuable help and time in providing the additional information required to explore this new area of business which we are keen to develop further.
